Help and support

These instructions cover sign-in, opening a workplace station, and common troubleshooting. Klár is a workplace system and does not offer public self-registration.

Last updated: August 14, 2026

Access to Klár

Customer accounts are created by the workplace or through an approved Klár onboarding process. The workplace provides the company identifier, username, and temporary password. If an account is inactive or assigned to the wrong workplace, contact the company's administrator.

If a verified recovery email has been added, choose Forgot password on the sign-in page. Otherwise, the company administrator must reset the password. Never send passwords, access links, or other secrets by email or in a screenshot. An administrator can reset access without receiving the old password.

Open a workplace station

Sign in to Klár first, then hold the phone near the station's marked NFC touchpoint. The NFC link identifies the station but does not grant access by itself. On iPhone, iOS may show its standard confirmation before Klár opens.

If the correct station does not open, confirm that the latest version of Klár is installed, close the attempt, and try again at the station. Station check-in is time-limited and may need to be renewed after the session expires.

Common troubleshooting

Check the network connection, close the app completely, and open it again. If the issue concerns access, sign out and sign in again. Install the latest app version when an update is available.

If an action does not appear to have completed, reload the page or task list before repeating it. This reduces the risk of creating a duplicate record.

App updates

After an App Store release, iPhone versions are delivered through the App Store. Automatic updates can take time, so you may need to open the App Store and choose Update when a new version is required.

The Android version is delivered as a signed APK from Klár's permanent download page. Android users install the newer version over the older one; do not uninstall the app first unless specific instructions say otherwise.

Report a problem

Describe what you were doing, when the issue occurred, the phone and app version you use, and any error message shown. You may include a screenshot only if it contains no password, access link, or sensitive information.

Employees should first report an issue to their workplace manager. General Klár support requests can be sent to support@klarapp.is. Do not include passwords, access links, or sensitive information.

Privacy and data deletion

Requests to access, correct, or delete data should first be directed to the workplace that created the account. You may also contact support@klarapp.is for help routing the request correctly.

Do not include health information, care records, medication information, or other sensitive data in a support request.

Emergencies and safety incidents

Klár is not an emergency service and must not be used to request urgent help. In an emergency, call 112 and follow the workplace's applicable safety procedures.
